Isaiah Thomas might not be part of the Los Angeles Lakers’ locker room anymore but that hasn’t stopped him from giving Lonzo Ball a hard time every now and then.

Ball posted a photo of him and his squad, which featured Jordan Ray and LiAngelo Ball of the JBA USA team, on Thursday and Thomas quickly noticed something off about the photo: Lonzo’s shoes.

Thomas wasn’t roasting Ball for wearing shoes made by his family brand. That’s too easy and Ball wasn’t rocking the ZO2s on Thanksgiving. Instead, Thomas had a problem with how dirty his white shoes were.

Ball and Thomas were only on the same team for a 28 games and played even fewer games together, but Thomas was the first real veteran point guard Ball had to lean on in his rookie year. It’s clear that the relationship has grown since then.

Thomas signed a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets over the summer for the veteran’s minimum. He is still making his way back to the court after undergoing hip surgery in the offseason, but he’s expected to make his debut for Denver by the new year.

Thomas and Ball will have an opportunity to catch up when the Lakers visit the Nuggets on Tuesday.
